Camp Lejeune Homes
A military housing partner announced Tuesday that is has been selected to create new housing developments aboard Camp Lejeune and two other east coast bases.
The company Lend Lease was selected by the Navy to build 136 new homes aboard Lejeune, as well as playgrounds, a family-focused community center and a 450-student elementary school, according to releases.
The project will be managed through Atlantic Marine Corps Communities, a public-private venture between Lend Lease and the Department of the Navy.
Other projects include the privatization of a historic home district aboard Marine Corps Recruiting Depot Parris Island and development work at the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, S.C.
